OPERATION TINY HOMES
We have been raising funds to purchase flatpack cabin kits for those in need.
This has included flood survivors whose homes have been destroyed or damaged by the floods, bushfire victims, women fleeing domestic violence and anyone in genuine need.

You can also volunteer to help us build them. Our first build was in April 2022 and we have made so many more since then!
It’s a fantastic opportunity to learn new skills, make new friends, have some fun and do something amazing to help the community.

Natural Disasters across Northern NSW have displaced 1000’s of people over the last few years. We have been through the worst floods on record and devastating bushfires. Add to this the cost of living crisis, the Housing crisis, soaring rates of Domestic and Family Violence, and we have an epidemic on our hands.
These disasters and stresses have created a whole new homeless.
Please help us help them.
At Container of Dreams we are very concerned about all the people who have lost their homes or cannot find a home, for whatever reason, be it Floods, bushfires, Family violence, housing shortages, or financial hardship.
We are here to help.

What We Do...

The ‘Great Australian Dream’ of owning our own home is something we have all been
conditioned to aspire to, but with Australian housing now among the most expensive in the world and job security declining this ambition is disintegrating. Many young people today can’t look forward to owning a home and some have just given up on ever buying. Creative solutions are urgently required to remedy this situation. We strongly believe that the construction of homes should be made simpler, faster, cheaper and accessible to all. Our first project was to create a low-cost housing prototype in order to examine creative alternatives for affordable housing. We are now investigating ways to establish this model as large-scale affordable housing provision across regional and remote communities in Australia.
